What to do in the garden today

Wondering what to do in your garden this time of year? June 16th, stil not yet summer...the twilight days of spring. My garden is in its glory, the tomatoes are almost two feet high with tons of blooms. I've purchased and planted all my plants for the season.

This is a time to scope out where things are in your garden, what you like and what you don't. If something would look better somewhere else, perhaps its time to think about dividing it up. If something isn't doing as good as you hoped, think of a spot where it may do better and plan a move or move it. One thing a garden does not have to be is stagnant. It should be able to change for the better to get closer to the way that you, the gardener want to see it.

Look over your gardening supplies. Organize your storage shed. Plan next years garden. Look for signs of pests or diseases, and if found, treat your plants. Keep a journal of the garden's progress so you can compare year over year. Go over last years journal and compare the progress.

One of my favorite things to do this time of year is just to walk through my garden, take mental notes, take pictures, and just take in what I've accomplished for the year.
