FRIDAY JUNE 27, 2008 Dreaming about Photgraphy | |||
|
These past three days I've been dreaming photography. I have two digital cameras in my house. My best camera is an Olympus C740 that we bought back in 2003. It claims a
10x optical zoom with a 3x digital zoom, and 3mp of resolution for the photos. In English that means I can see the sharp details up to 8x10 size. Its a great camera, and has served me well. Probably about 6 months ago, it started acting touchy. My LCD screen doesn't come up when I'm wanting to take a picture and the viewfinder seems to be blocked as well. But when it works...its still taking lovely photos.
Tonight, I put batteries in it 3 times and I can't get any other results.
My back up camera is a little Canon Digital Elph SD110. We got that camera on Broadway in New York City. It is also 3.2mp and has a 2x zoom. Not a bad little camera and nice and compact so its perfect for vacations. Possibly because my favorite camera has not been working correctly, and the replacement doesn't have the same quality photos or the same zoom abilities, but also because I saw some absolutely gorgeous photos on 1-2-3 Go garden Blog, I've been dreaming about a new camera. I read the post about her camera quest and have poured over reviews of other camers from Olympus's current Power Zoom camera to the D-SLR's trying to decide what is best for us. I've even went out to Imaging Resource and compared images from different cameras. My original thought was to stick with the Olympus cameras because I've enjoyed my Olympus and they have an awesome 20x optical zoom out now. |
